I can not stress this telling someone to give credit to the artist and be butthurt about it. How about you pull your adult pants up and own up that you took something that isn't rightfully yours. Some people do not know this because they think that sharing pictures isn't counted for as theft but it is. It's a felony and a cyber crime. If artists wanted to, they could sue you. But many are too kind for that type of thing so at least have respect for them. We are all people too and we have feeling that pretain to what we draw, to make our fans happy and to contribute to what we love.
This week, a user named Mira (I'll use that name from her username), temporary or possibly deleted her Instagram account because of this user by the name of Mjiannie. Mjiannie has been stealing multiple pieces of artwork from various of users on her 4 accounts. She has been changing up her usernames so that Instagram can't find her when people report her and is doing this just to gain popularity. This is what happens when people take and post without credit or just take ownership of the art like what Mjiannie is doing now.
Let's please try to prevent any more case of this. It's multiplying by the second and isn't even helping out anyone with theft. I could suggest to anyone to copyright their work but the rates are too high for that and the sites we post them on do not protect them enough. One thing I know we can do is keep on raising awareness of these thieves and tell them that this type of malicious activity is wrong on so many levels.
